Do you have a relative or a friend who has a damaging disease of the central nervous system (CNS) such as stroke, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, spinal cord injury (SCI), multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Huntington’s? If you do or do not, you should be an advocate to this effort!
Who We Are The Neural Repair Institute is a not-for-profit academic corporation with tax-exempt status under section 501 (c) (3). The organization was founded to advance the field of neural repair and regeneration. We are based in the Chicago area of Illinois.
What Is Our Mission? Our team has been working diligently to achieve certain goals: 1) Raising awareness about • Neurodegenerative diseases (stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Huntington’s disease, etc.); and • Various treatment strategies that can enhance the regenerative mechanisms of the central nervous system including stem cells. Achieving this goal can be accomplished by maintaining a highly professional website; producing a series of DVDs with live lectures about neurodegenerative diseases, neural repair and regeneration, and stem cells; producing books, booklets, and handouts; giving lectures nationwide and worldwide; and holding seminars and conferences covering various aspects of the field. 2) Running research projects with the goal of inducing and enhancing the regenerative capacity of the central nervous system after damage. These projects include animal and human studies (clinical trials). Our foundation has highly qualified advisors who are capable of implementing that. Please click here to view our Advisory Board.
